Re-run VMs from query-based policy client selection

Has anyone figured out how to do this?  I have a list of failed VMs from query-based policies which I'd like to re-run with a simple bpbackup command:

bpbackup -i -p <policy> -s monthly_full -h <VM hostname> -S <master>

This, of course, generates a "Status 239" error because the <VM hostname> is nowhere explicitly specified in a policy.

Is there a way to do this easily?
