Tape question

Hi,

we want to re use some old tapes, they are in totaal 4 tapes, in past our full backup run agains a tape librarary partition with these 4 tapes in it and the full backup every month for the next 8 month has been store on these 4 tapes, some times half of the full backup set is on one tape and othere half is on the second tape but the second tape also has a full backup of a month that is complelely on this tape.

Now lets say we erase Tape1

The tape 2 has the half of the full backup set of Tape1 and also a compelet backup set of the nexe month. can we still resotre data from tape 2 that is belong to the complete backup set? or as soon as we erase tape 1 the restore of the tape 2 is also not possible.
