After reinstalling Backup Exec 15 on a new Server two Symantec OstDrv where appearing.
After restarting the services they where showing as offline and I was able to delete them.
Today after a reboot the Symantec OstDrv are showing again.

Kindly note we have changed the IP address of our Master server from 192.168.200.X to 10.1.112.X we faced the error below on two servers one is( LINUX redhat 6.5:10.1.112.X) and the other is (Windows 2008 R2 standard: 10.1.112.X), please note we've added the new IP to (hosts) file on both server and restarted the clients, noting that these two servers on the same VLAN of Master Server.
ERROR CODE: (58) can't connect to client

Are you recommend move backups to new master server (backups retentions are 2 weeks)?

We have DLO 7.5, 7.5 SP1 and DLO 7.6.
All servers are up and running.
How to uninstall the DLO agent silently? Can't find a concrete solution anywhere. Please assist.
Title is quite self explanatory, I believe.
I will probably want to keep the limit of backup jobs for my clients, with the exception of one particular server which takes forever to perform full backups, for which I want to increase this to 4 or 6.
Question is, if the master server setting is 3 but the client setting is 5, which one will win?

Can someone update the "Featured Discussion" at the top of the page, to the latest "STABLE" version.
I am leery of upgrading past 7.6.1.2, due to seeing issues others are having with 7.7.1 & 7.7.2
I would like someone from Veritas to post the current suggested target version.
Having upgraded to previous versions, then struggled to overcome issues, patch with EEB, etc. I am willing to wait a bit to get stability. When I upgrade and have issues, I end up with weekly meetings, explaining to managers why backups are not working.
I would like to avoid that...
You can see in the picture above that I have Duplication jobs going from one media server -> to another. I am wondering how I can make this stop so that they just go from media server -> to same media server as I would imagine that is faster.
Under Change Storage Operation under Duplication I have the Alternate read server: set to the source media server, but that doesn't appear to resolve the problem.
First of all, I have never been able to push agents. Always had to pull from the software. i recently upgraded to FP3 and cannot seem to figure out how to update agets on two Windows 2008 servers.
I created a pool containg four shared drives. When I upgraded to BE 15 FP3 it now insists on backing up to Disk 1, so that is now completely full and giving warnings. The other three drives have a lot of room.
I had a ticket open on this with a Tech I had a hartime understanding. he said my backupsets would eventually expire and I would be fine. If it was backing up to the other three, that would probably be true.

we use a server 2008r2 with backup exec 15.
Our plan is one full backup in the month and every day a differential backup on the deduplicated storage.
1)Is it possible to make a new full backup from the older full and the newest differential backup?
2) can i copy this new fullbackup to a tape? Or i must make a new fullbackup to a tape?

Details error "Select client configuration diesn't meet VM conversion criteria. It has system volumes present on GPT type disks, which are not currently supported for VM conversion.

we are having two netbackup 5230 appliances in production and DR site. The Monthly backup data will be replicated between appliances and due to slow wan link, there are lot of pending backup images backlogs. in order to clear the backlogs the DR appliance has been brought back to production site and connect directly through 10 GB fibre interface. Still i am facing slow data transfer rate. Any ideas how to increase the speed.
