I am trying to install the backup exec 15 feature pack 3 on server. I have tried it to install manually but failed to perform this activity.
I am getting error 'The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable'.
Failed to access msi file from [A:\BE\winnt\install\bex64\install\media\]
Whats the issue.

Why I Use Inventory In Symantec Backup Exec 2010 .
Primary appliance: 5220 v2.5.3 (NBU v.7.5.0.6), 34TB, performs backups, replications to secondary, duplications to tape.
Secondary appliance: 5220 v2.5.3 (NBU v7.5.0.6), 34TB, only receives replications, does not perform backups or duplications to tape.

The secondary has issues (too long a story).
If I re-image the secondary appliance as a new v2.7.2 (NBU v7.7.2) install, will it be supported to receive AIR replications from Appliance v2.5.3 (NBU v7.5.0.6) ?

We have just purchased a new HP DL380G9 server, 32GB RAM, 10 core xeon processor, 10GB FLOM ports etc.
It is running server 2012 R2 with BE2015.
This weekend was the first real test for our monthly full backup. It starts on Friday night. By Monday morning, the server was so slow it required a restart to get it responsive again. The backups were down to 80MB per minute.
Is any body having this sort of issue?
There is nothing else presently running on this new server except BE2015.

I am working on windows environemt (master, meida and client)
I am getting connectivity error for bptest cmd from mediaserver to cleint and the same bptest runs fine from another media server.
Host enteries all are fine.windows firewall is also disabled.
Mater ,media server and client is on same version : 7.6.1.2
Kindly assist me how to further check this issue.

Looks OK but cannot change the opscenter server designation, it is set to itself .. and while this machine was an opscenter server a long time ago, we have a stand alone opscenter server now. And I removed the opscenter software from the master server.
I'm attaching a screenshot of the install process, don't think I explained this too well. There must be some vesitages of opscenter I missed or something!

Having an issue that's very strange. There are 4 jobs each configured for two of my SQL servers, so 8 jobs. The Mon-Thu Full Database backup jobs run to one library partition, the friday jobs run to the other partition for weekly, offsite storage. There are also TLog jobs configured and those are set to backup and flush the logs later in the same overnight.
The issue is that the 4 TLog jobs do not run. The are scheduled to run tonight, just like they were last week. There is no lob jog or error message in BE or Wndows logs. It's almost like they get kicked off and just reschedule themselves for the next day.
One thing I noticed is that I cannot configure the job to be a Full backup of the logs. When I configure the job as full, the icon is a full orange cylinder, as expected. Then when I choose the log/truncate option, I see the icon change to a half orange cylinder. When I save the config, the icon changes to the quarter orange cylinder, showing it listed as an Inc job. If there's no Full job for an Inc job to refer to, wouldn't that cause this? I'm guessing at this point.
Since the issue is happening to both servers' job definitions, I know it's not some error or fluke, but I am perplexed.

Netbackup 5203 Master/Media server backing up then replicating via SLP to a DR 5230. The backup and replication work just fine but the duplication to tape fails. The images are GRT Exchange and GRT SharePoint. I know for some reason NetBackup is trying to connect back to the Exchange and SharePoint server to get index information which will never happen. Is there a way to shut that off and be comfortable the data on tape will be usable?

After downloading the files, I have saved with the name of nb_full.tar, and then extracted for nbu7_5555_install. Inside this folder I extracted the file VrtsNB_CLT_7.5.0.7.Linux.tar.gz.... :( finally!! I'm not getting install the NBU client on this server, someono could help me????
In short can a BUE 2010 agent and a BUE 2015 agent coexist on the same server ath the same time?
I have a production situation where I have 5 Media Servers running BUE 2010 and 1 Media Server running BUE 2015. All of the 2010 media servers backup data on themselves and various servers running that agent. The 2015 server backus up only data on itself currently. I know I need to upgrade all of the 2010 serves to 2015 but in the mean time one of the 2010 servers needs to backup data from 1 server with a 2010 agent and a server with a 2015 agent. I need to know of i can get the 2010 agent to coexist with the 2015 agent on the same server.

I have a RedHat master - with lto6 tape drives and a few Windows 2012 R2 media servers.
The NUMBER_DATA_BUFFERS and SIZE_DATA_BUFFERS - are set on the Red Hat master - /usr/openv/netbackup/db/config - and work great.
However - when we set the same values on the Windows 2012 R2 media servers - it will not use the values we specify - using same values as the RedHat master.
It keeps using the default 65536 and 12 values.
They are located in C:\program files\veritas\netbackup\db\config

Did something change in NB 7.7.1 to adjust buffers in Windows media servers? The tuning guide still hasn't been updated for 7.7.

Doing a bit of housecleaning prior to upgrades... and I notice my master appliance (2.6.0.4) is probably a bit too full in the /inst filesystem to attempt an upgrade. I look into it and see quite a few old client directories:

I changed my motherboard to a ASUS Z170-A. I did a backup and it went fine. But then I tried to recover this is the message that I got. Cannot restore BIOS based recovery points on UEFI based computer. Please select a UEIF based recovery point. I don't see any UEFI recovert points in the file picks. Need some help here.
